Wink-Loving ISD trustees voted unanimously on Nov. 17 to accept the donation of the former community center property from Winkler County (Wink Original - Block 39, Lots 2, 3 & 7 N 150'). Administration said county commissioners had approved the donation and that the district would need to abate asbestos and demolish the existing structure before any redevelopment.
The administration recommended accepting the property for potential future housing. Trustee Raymond Dodd moved approval and Trustee Jerome Dewberry seconded; the minutes record unanimous board consent. The packet noted the district would work with county officials to complete required documentation.
