The Wills Point ISD Board of Trustees approved separate resolutions authorizing the district's vote for members of the Van Zandt County and Kaufman County Central Appraisal District boards of directors during its Nov. 10, 2025 meeting.
"Russell Hiler moved to approve the resolution for WPISD's vote for the member of the Van Zandt County Central Appraisal District Board of Directors," the minutes record; Trustee Debbie Deen seconded the motion and "all present were in favor." A second, separate motion to approve a resolution for the district's vote for a Kaufman County Central Appraisal District board member was moved by Hiler and seconded by Dr. Ben Curtis and also approved unanimously.
The minutes do not name the specific appraisal‑district candidates receiving the district's votes; the motions authorize the district to cast its institutional votes in each county's process. The district's legal counsel and administration typically follow up with county appraisal district offices to record the official vote and any candidate names.
