Fire Chief Robert Brill said the Fire Department plans to finalize Fire Station 39’s replacement design based on site analysis and space-study conclusions. The capital plan also funds facility improvements, road and utility work and sidewalks; Lehnhardt said capital expenditures include about $22 million for facilities and $5.6 million for road improvements. Council members asked questions about project timing and the guardrail needed for the Gary Avenue Reconstruction Project; staff said paving remains on schedule pending that guardrail.
