Tatum ISD honors Trustee Kip Amick with Area 6 FFA Outstanding Chapter Advocate Award

Tatum Independent School District trustees paused their Aug. 25 special meeting to recognize Trustee Kip Amick after Tatum High School’s agriculture program presented her with the Area 6 FFA Outstanding Chapter Advocate Award.
THS Ag teachers Katrina McKee and Jeff Jones told the board that “Mrs. Kip Amick was honored with the Outstanding Chapter Advocate Award for the Area 6 FFA Association,” noting the award recognizes dedication and advocacy for students and agricultural education. To commemorate the honor, Tatum FFA Chapter officers Canon Smith (president), Caroline Smith (vice president), Kendi Hudman (secretary), Audrey Parsons (treasurer), Victoria Reeves (reporter) and Xavier Matlock (student advisor) presented Amick with a bouquet of white roses and the Advocate Award.
The presentation emphasized Amick’s continued support for the program. Board members offered thanks and acknowledgment; no formal action was required on the recognition.
The recognition occurred during the Superintendent’s report portion of the special meeting on Aug. 25, 2025.
