Elicia Gray, a teacher at Lakeview, was announced as the Provo City School District’s District Teacher of the Year during the district’s Employee Recognition Night on April 28, 2026.
The announcement capped a program of awards that the district presented to teachers, counselors, support staff and retirees. Superintendent Wendy Dau and Board President Jennifer Partridge offered remarks thanking staff; the meeting packet notes the district now serves more than 12,700 students and about 2,000 employees.
The district presented Elicia Gray’s award during the teacher awards segment, immediately after the list of school-level Teachers of the Year. The program emphasized classroom impact and highlighted Gray’s work at the elementary level. No further district-wide action was recorded; the event was ceremonial and celebratory in nature.
