Board members discussed the effect of fees on extracurricular participation and the need for clearer fee visibility during registration; Julie Jackson said it would be helpful to list class fees where students make course selections and Karyn Winder moved the first reading, seconded by Julie Jackson. President McDermott called the vote and the motion passed unanimously as a first reading. District staff also noted that beginning in 2026–27 the district will offer at least one 27‑credit pathway that fulfills graduation requirements without payment or a waiver.
