The Nassau County Planning and Zoning Board on Aug. 5 recommended approval of CPA 25‑008, a request to move a 1.32‑acre parcel to a commercial land‑use designation. Elizabeth Beck of the Planning Department presented the item and recommended approval, saying the property fronts US Highway 17 and would promote higher‑intensity development where that is appropriate.
Beck noted that landscaping buffers, screening and site‑specific traffic or operational improvements are reviewed at site‑plan review and that the site is not located within a special flood hazard area. There were no public comment cards; a board member moved to recommend approval and the motion passed by voice vote.
