Winters ISD recognizes students of the week and a teacher’s certification

At the Sept. 8 Winters ISD board meeting, the board recognized Samantha Hubbard, Eloise Pena, Cezar Martinez and Ay Jay Soto as the Runnels County Register's Students of the Week; Charles Wright also reported 99 secondary students received perfect-attendance awards. The recognitions were presented as part of the opening agenda and required no board action.
Elementary Principal Carrie McWhorter introduced Diane Fine, who commented about her journey to receiving teaching certification. The minutes record that McWhorter presented Fine for recognition and Fine "commented on the journey to certification."
