Wimberley ISD board selects Competitive Sealed Proposal delivery method for multiple bond bid packages
Summary
The board voted unanimously to use the Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) method for construction services on several 2025 bond bid packages (site/pavement, baseball/softball complex, roofing/HVAC and multicampus improvements), in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2269.
At its Oct. 27 meeting, the Wimberley ISD Board of Trustees unanimously chose the Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) procurement method for several bond-related construction packages.
Trustee Ken Strange moved “that the Board select the Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) method as the delivery method for construction services for Bid Packages 1, 4, 5 and 6.” Trustee Andrea Justus seconded the motion, which passed 7–0. Board materials cite Texas Government Code Chapter 2269 as the statutory authority governing delivery-method selection for alternative procurement processes.
District speakers indicated the CSP approach will be used to solicit proposals for site and pavement work, the Baseball/Softball Complex, Roofing & HVAC projects and multicampus improvements; board members did not amend the motion at the meeting.
