Given the eventual compliance, staff and the mayor recommended a reduced business-improvement grant of $10,000; Alderman Key moved to approve the recommendation, Alderman Brennan seconded, and the committee approved the grant unanimously. The committee’s approval included the record of prior enforcement and the staff recommendation as justification for the amount.
