Principal Amber Palmer updated the board on academic and student life items. She reported roughly 75 high‑school students participated in the first attendance trip and that the district completed its first round of benchmark testing. Palmer said the Bluebonnet math curriculum "is exceptionally well" while reading materials currently contain errors that are time-consuming for teachers to address.
Palmer said the district's TIA data has been submitted and the district is looking at designating three teachers once validation is complete. She also noted student activities: Fields of Faith attendance of about 50 students, a Senior Sunrise on Oct. 2, and earlier School Custodian Appreciation on Oct. 2, with staff recognized and provided lunch.
