Valley View ISD accepts $74,113.45 in baking supplies to support culinary classes

The administration recommended accepting the donation valued at $74,113.45 to support the Parent and Family Engagement Homemaking Class and culinary arts instruction.
The motion to approve acceptance of the donated supplies was made by Omar Garcia and seconded by Board President Claudia Coronado; the vote was unanimous, 7–0. Trustees and staff thanked Ms. Avila for the contribution and noted the materials will be used in cake decorating and culinary classes.
The acceptance is a one-time in-kind donation; no district funds were expended to acquire the materials.
