The Eatontown Borough Council adopted Ordinance 1-20-26 on third reading to accept dedication of certain roadways from the Fort Monmouth economic revitalization project. Councilmember Arman moved the ordinance and Councilmember Escalante seconded; the roll call recorded affirmative votes from present members and the ordinance advanced.
The ordinance was opened for public comment and no members of the public raised objections specific to the dedication. Municipal staff indicated the dedication formalizes ownership and maintenance responsibility for those streets coming into the borough from the Fort Monmouth redevelopment effort. The adoption will allow borough departments to proceed with maintenance planning and to incorporate the roadways into future capital programming.
