Applicant seeks approval to store tractor‑trailers and waste trucks at 209 William Street

At a public hearing on Oct. 15, 2024, counsel for Standard Waste Services described a site‑plan application (PB‑2023‑06) to use 209 William Street for storage of tractor‑trailers, dumpsters and trash collection vehicles and said maintenance for those vehicles would occur at a separate property, 330 William Street. The application requests waivers for submitted lighting and landscaping plans because much of the parcel is currently vacant and the applicant intends to demolish several structures and retain a single building.
George Pressler, Esq., representing the applicant, summarized the application and the requested waivers. The minutes record that “the site will not be open to the public; applicant is seeking wavier for the submission for the lighting and landscaping plans.” The board’s planner (Todd Bletcher) and engineer (Bruce Koch) reviewed outstanding items and the applicant indicated it will comply with staff and departmental requirements before final approvals.
