Finance Director Sandra Martinez presented the Valley View ISD 2026–2027 budget calendar and said the district will try to adhere to tentative dates to deliver a proposed budget by June 8, 2026.
In the district's financial investment report for the second quarter, Sandra C. Martinez reported that monthly interest earned was $252,866 and that year-to-date interest income exceeded $500,000, figures she said were on target with what had been budgeted. Trustees asked no follow-up questions and proceeded to the consent agenda.
The budget calendar sets internal milestones for staff to prepare a proposed budget for board consideration ahead of the statutory adoption process later in the spring.
