The Valley View ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025 Tax Roll Resolution and a budget amendment at its Dec. 8 meeting.
Sandra C. Martinez, Finance Director, presented the appraisal roll totaling $1,734,206,078 and said the associated tax levy for 2025 is $12,006,569.76. Martinez also reported that the district earned $287,708.12 in interest during the first quarter of fiscal year 2025–26 and that the district is "on target with the budget" as presented to trustees.
Trustee Jaime Gaona asked why some tax accounts appear to show $0 due; Martinez explained that exemptions and prior‑year exemptions can create situations where no tax is charged in a given account. The Board approved the tax roll resolution and the budget amendment in separate votes; both motions were made by Board President Claudia Coronado and seconded by Trustee Jaime Gaona. Recorded votes show five trustees voting in favor and two absent.
