By unanimous motion on Feb. 12, the Borough of Clayton Council approved a consent agenda of resolutions numbered 42-26 through 54-26.
The consent items included authorization for payment of bills and vouchers (Res. 42-26); cancellation of municipal lien balances on foreclosed properties (Res. 43-26); Change Order No. 2 for West Linden Street roadway improvements (Res. 44-26); award of a contract for Phase II roadway improvements of North Broad Street to Landberg Construction LLC (Res. 45-26); authorization of a non-fair-and-open contract for special counsel to assist with affordable housing services (Res. 46-26); and authorization to accept a grant from the State of New Jersey, Department of Law and Public Safety, Office of the Attorney General, for $45,150 under the FY2026 Safe and Secure Communities Program (Res. 48-26).
Other consent items included bingo license approval for St. Michael the Archangel Regional School; tax refunds and cancellations; execution of an agreement with LEW Environmental Services; and designation of the borough administrator as acting deputy municipal clerk for this meeting. Councilmember Moorhouse moved and Councilman Chapes seconded the consent motion; the roll-call vote was unanimous.
