Council tabled Ordinance O.25.05 at the March 11 meeting after the Borough Solicitor explained the recommendation to delay further action. The ordinance would create Chapter 12 'Affordable Housing' to regulate very-low, low- and moderate-income housing units and to establish an Affordable Housing Trust Fund under Uniform Housing Affordability Controls (UHAC) and the Fair Housing Act.
Council President Thomas moved and Councilman Singleton seconded to table the measure until April 8, 2025. No final vote on the ordinance was taken; the solicitor and council indicated further review and clarification would occur before the next scheduled meeting.
