Board accepts retirement, resignation and approves 2026-27 personnel contracts

The Granton Area School District Board of Education moved into executive session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) at 7:18 p.m. to consider personnel matters and returned to open session at 8:25 p.m. Clerk Jamie Elmhorst reported no action was taken during executive session.
Following the session the board approved the retirement of Tim Steinbach and accepted the resignation of Madelyn Nelson. The board also approved teacher and bus driver contracts for the 2026-27 school year, the District Administrator contract and the 4K–12 Principal contract. The teacher and bus driver contract vote recorded one abstention: board member Daniel Schoessow was recorded as abstaining with a conflict on that motion.
