On Sept. 17 the D C Everest Area School District Board approved a one-time stipend for eligible employees. The motion, moved by Lindsey Lewitzke and seconded by Katie Felch, authorized $600 for each regular employee scheduled to work more than 20 hours per week and $300 for each regular employee scheduled to work 20 hours or less, for employees employed prior to June 1, 2025 and still employed in a regular position.
"to provide a one-time stipend for employees who were employed prior to June 1, 2025, in a regular position, and continue to work in a regular position in the amounts of $600 for each regular employee scheduled to work more than 20 hours per week, and $300 for each regular employee scheduled to work 20 hours or less per week," moved Lindsey Lewitzke and seconded by Katie Felch, passed by voice vote; Board member Joshua Dickerson recorded an abstention. The packet notes that this is a one-time payment and applies only to employees meeting the stated hire-date and position criteria. The board did not attach a funding source or dollar total in the motion language recorded in the minutes.
