Trustees approve insurance renewal, security vendor and bus‑driver training agreement

At its Aug. 11 meeting, the Wills Point ISD Board approved several operational contracts. Trustees approved Insurica to renew the district's property insurance (motion by Russell Hiler, second by Debbie Deen). The board also approved MCA as the vendor for an updated security system (motion by Russell Hiler, second by Ben Curtis).
In addition, the board approved a consultant service agreement with ESC Region 7 so that Transportation Director Colt Chabert may teach bus driver re‑certification and certification training. Trustee Ben Curtis moved the ESC Region 7 agreement and Trustee Debbie Deen seconded. All motions passed unanimously. The minutes record the vendor names and the purpose of the agreements but do not include contract values or timelines.
