TEA selects 14 student files in Presidio ISD special education cyclical review, district prepares responses

Hevila Ramos briefed trustees on the TEA cyclical special education review, saying the agency selected 14 student files for desk review and campus checks and that the district is compiling required documentation.
Ramos detailed TEA's review scope — board policy, IEP development and implementation, ARD compliance, assessments, transition planning and data integrity — and said the co-op director (Mesinda Llanez) is coordinating secure uploads. The submission window runs Jan. 6 through Feb. 2; TEA may request clarifications and, if needed, corrective actions will be developed.
