At a Dec. 17 public hearing, Raquel Baeza presented Presidio ISD's Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) results for the year ending Aug. 31, 2024.
"Out of a possible 100 points, PISD scored 96 points. PISD received a Superior Achievement rating with that score," Baeza said, noting that the FIRST evaluation uses 21 indicators and that seven indicators are weighted more heavily. The district characterized the score as evidence of careful financial management.
The presentation was informational; no board action was required. Board members received the annual financial accountability management report as part of the district's statutory reporting obligations under the FIRST process.
