Staff reported confirmed awards including a $9,245 Early Childhood Special Education grant, LASSO Cycle Three Strong Foundations implementation funds of $231,000, and a LIFT award of $533,000 plus a $120,000 add‑on for PLCs. Administrators also outlined pending or applied grants: a Texas Strategic Staffing Residency allocation of about $58,400, two $50,000 CTE summer and work‑based learning grant requests, and a $1.3 million Texas ACE 21st Century Community Learning Center application. The district also applied for a Texas Clean School Bus grant and adjusted the bid to pursue funding for one bus (roughly $120,000) due to incomplete data in the application.
Supervising staff credited Ms. Hernandez and other team members for active grant seeking and told the board they intend to publicize awards more broadly through local outlets and social media. No formal board action was required; staff will continue applying and will return with award confirmations and implementation plans.
