Owner given 30 days to clear trespassers at Daymon Circle lots

Craig Clark, chair of the Cumberland County Health and Safety Standards Board, opened the meeting and the board moved quickly to consider code-enforcement cases.
At the Daymon Circle item, County Attorney Philip Burnett said he served the property owner with a notice of violation at the meeting and suggested the owner "go to the Sheriff's department and have the trespassers removed." Richard Bringenberg moved to give the owner 30 days from the meeting date to have trespassers removed and get the lot cleared; Tom Isham seconded. "The motion carried" with no opposition.
The board's action directs Codes staff to monitor the property and report back at the July 29 meeting. No specific timetable beyond the 30-day extension was set for enforcement beyond the board's follow-up, and the owner accepted the service of notice at the meeting.
