Trustees approved a bundle of vendor contracts and purchases Aug. 12. Actions included a $142,175 renovation of the rear asphalt drive of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center with Orange Crush LLC; acquisition of carpet and vinyl from Emerald Carpets, Inc. for $265,263.52 (Trustee Price recused on that vote); a three-year license agreement with RWB Distribution LLC for mobile phone charging vending stations; and demolition of the fountain at 9501 Devon by DiMeo Bros., Inc. for $127,770.00. Motions were made by Trustee Dorgan and seconded by Trustees Minale or DiMatteo as recorded; votes carried.
The board also approved a Direct Bill Elevator Inspection and Plan Review contract with Elevator Inspection Services Company, Inc., and authorized purchase of two 2024 Chevrolet Tahoes from Karl Chevrolet, Inc. for $103,542.40. Contract and purchase motions recorded unanimous approval except where a recusal was explicitly noted in the minutes.
