Cameron Board approves vouchers, sets budget meeting and rejects free breakfast proposal

The Cameron Board of Education convened Aug. 25, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. and approved routine business including the minutes of July 28 and financial vouchers totaling $680,704.94. Members present were Brandon Olson, Jeff Gifford, Bethany Stevens, Scott Keeler and Heather Fick.
During the meeting the board approved a motion to publish the tentative 2025–2026 budget and set the Annual Meeting for Sept. 22, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the High School LMC. A separate motion to consider free breakfasts for all students in 2025–26 failed on a 2–3 vote (Yea: Stevens, Fick; Nay: Olson, Gifford, Keeler). The meeting concluded at 8:55 p.m.
