Trustee Pticek appointed temporary chair at Bridgeview board meeting

Clerk John C. Altar called the Village of Bridgeview Board meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance. "The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Clerk Altar at 7:01 pm," the minutes record.
Trustee Lewis moved, and Trustee Higginson seconded, a motion (2024-M-82) to appoint Trustee Pticek as temporary chairman for the meeting. The board recorded AYES from Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Baste, Struzik and Lewis and an ABSTAIN from Trustee Pticek; with five affirmative votes and one abstention the motion carried and Pticek served as chair for the session.
The appointment set the procedural leadership for the evening before the Board moved on to approve minutes and consider ordinances and contracts.
