The board received an electronic public comment from Melissa Fowler requesting that the district establish a softball web page to help girls seeking collegiate recruitment. The submission was entered into the record during the public comment portion of the Jan. 23 meeting; no board action on the request was recorded in the minutes.
Trustees also acknowledged a thank-you letter from Jay Higginson of the local Randolph-area food bank reporting a donation of more than 3,000 cans collected by students. During the same portion of the agenda, a combined student choir performed several songs and students presented thank-you gifts in recognition of School Board Appreciation Month.
