Campuses celebrate students and plan spring events including 'Pet-a-Jet' and promotions

Campus leaders recognized Students of the Month and reported upcoming spring events across Randolph Field campuses.
Ms. Tracey Bandy described an elementary career day for Pre-K–1 with about 15 vehicles and H‑E‑B partnership for community trips for all 50 pre-K students. The elementary campus plans a "Pet-a-Jet" experience on April 23 that will let four- and five-year-olds see jets, hear presentations and use a simulator. First graders earned a grant from the Spurs for a guided downtown and Hardberger Park tour. At the secondary level, Mrs. Rachel Trevino said Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force David Wolfe will visit April 24 for JROTC cadets; prom, a blackout pep rally, senior decision day and graduation May 22 at Summit Church were also reported.
Students and staff also described student-led supports such as a pop-up closet providing clothing and toiletries to students in need; the initiative will be showcased to the University of Texas as part of the Speak Up, Speak Out program.
