Margaret Brumm of Marquette presented a draft resolution and urged the county to take action on cigarette-butt littering.
Brumm provided the board with a draft titled "Resolution Declaring Cigarette Butt Littering Unacceptable in Marquette County" and said she wanted the board to consider signing the resolution. Commissioners discussed the draft during commissioner comments; Commissioner LaLonde asked civil counsel to review the resolution, and Commissioner Alholm said she had suggested changes she would like to see. Commissioner Benzie added the county should look for ways to capture tourism-generated revenue and reminded the public of early voting dates.
