Presidio ISD reports 84 students enrolled in Early College High School program with multiple college partners

District staff updated the board on the Presidio High School Early College High School (ECHS) program. Enrollment in ECHS stands at 84 students, and staff projected about 20 students may earn associate degrees or certifications through partnerships with higher-education institutions.
The district reported memoranda of understanding with McMurry University, University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB), Odessa College and Sul Ross State University. Thirty-two students are taking college courses through McMurry for a college-prep course tied to CCMR; of those, 29 are seniors and three are juniors. Staff noted the self‑paced structure of some courses and that facilitators monitor progress even for students who have not yet passed TSIa.
