Presidio ISD board adopts TASB LOCAL policies and approves 2025–26 goals, postpones mission and vision
Summary
Trustees approved a package of LOCAL board policies from TASB update 126 and adopted Board Goals for 2025–26, and voted to postpone approval of the district mission and vision statements to allow more input.
The board adopted multiple LOCAL policies recommended in the TASB Policy Service Update 126 after a motion by Iris Galindo. Galindo moved, “I move that the board add the (LOCAL) policies as offered by TASB Policy Service for consideration and according to the Instruction Sheet for TASB Localized Manual Update 126,” which was seconded by Maria Montoya and carried on a 6-0 vote.
Trustees also approved the Board Goals for 2025–26 on a motion by Marco Lujan (seconded by Jeremy Velasquez) and voted 6-0 to postpone action on the district mission and vision statements to a future meeting to allow for broader input. The board procedures were reviewed by the district attorney and approved as recorded.
