District staff summarized Gifted & Talented program participation and supports at the Nov. 19 meeting. Hevila Ramos reported enrollment counts (PES 39, LRFMS 18, PHS 35), described teacher supports including 30 hours of Tier 1 differentiation training, and outlined identification processes using NNAT3, IOWA, surveys and portfolios.
Ramos said PHS offers PECHS, dual-credit options, AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature and noted the district is evaluating additional AP classes. The board received the update as information with no action taken.
