Flambeau principal reports ACT gains; school holds Athletic and Military Signing Day

At the April 15 meeting Principal Chad Gago reported that the recently completed ACT testing cycle showed "significant growth" across all measured categories, according to the minutes. He also recounted that on March 27 the district held Athletic and Military Signing Day; collegiate signees included Cole Schley, Reese Roehl and Chanse Ludescher, and students enlisting in the military included Madison Baker, Joey Nitek and Max Bergeren.
Gago told the board that some students will attend the UW-Madison for the state forensics competition, with a mix of virtual and in-person participation. The board was also briefed that the district's cell phone policy has been implemented and that administrators are working on a Homeschool Participation Policy. District Administrator Mark Stamper provided additional updates, including a meeting with the Sheldon Legion York-Kohler Post and an update that Amy Lund was appointed to the board following the most recent election.
