The Flambeau School District Board of Education voted unanimously to approve a playground bid from Commercial Recreational Specialists after a presentation by company representative Brian Stracke. The board recorded the approval as "Motion Carried 7-0." District Administrator Mark Stamper will coordinate with the vendor on a more permanent canopy option and the district will remove the existing playground equipment.
During his presentation Brian Stracke said the proposed equipment "offers a 10-year limited warranty" and provided an estimated construction window: the project is expected to take 4–6 weeks with completion by mid-August 2026. Board members asked for alternative canopy materials and costs for the canvas option; Stracke agreed to supply permanent-canopy options to the district for final selection.
