Superintendent Mandy Traylor told trustees that playground repairs are complete and that work on the gym floor began on Tuesday, March 2.
The district’s March check run filed with the meeting materials lists large capital payments consistent with those projects: Z FLOOR $73,500 for gym floor work, PLAYGROUNDS ETC $53,141.70 for playground equipment, and CARTER CONSTRUCTIO $37,673.20 for tennis court work (plus retainage of $1,982.80). The board approved the bills as paid during the consent agenda.
Traylor also reported that a replacement engine for a district bus was not scheduled to ship until March 26 and that the bus likely would not return to service until mid-April. The technology and facilities notes included a decision not to proceed with an expanded RSI access-control quote because the proposal exceeded budget estimates; the district chose lower-cost gate and hardware adjustments instead.
