The Veribest Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Sept. 15 to approve routine consent items including minutes, bills and two athletic equipment purchases.
Board President Mark Kellermeier moved to approve minutes from Aug. 14, Aug. 18 and Aug. 29, 2025; Mark Schwartz seconded and the motion passed 5-0. Dalena Freeman then moved to approve the bills as paid; Kellermeier seconded and trustees voted 5-0 to approve the check run.
Trustees also approved vendor quotes for athletic equipment. "Consideration and action was taken to approve quote from BSN Sports for upgraded weights," the agenda notes; Kellermeier moved to approve and Mark Schwartz seconded. Later the board approved a BSN Sports quote for tennis windscreens on a motion from Dalena Freeman, seconded by Mark Schwartz. Both equipment motions passed 5-0.
The meeting packet included a detailed check register and vendor report showing a total check run of $292,177.25, with notable line items including a bus payment of $60,389.80 and property insurance of $96,957.00. No dissent or abstentions were recorded on the consent items.
The board took these votes as routine business; no amendments or referrals were made during the consent portion of the meeting.
