At its Aug. 11 meeting, the Reagan County ISD Board of Trustees approved several administrative items: the Staff Development Minute's Waiver and the Maximum Class Size Exception Waiver for 2025–2026. Both waivers were adopted by unanimous vote with two trustees absent.
The board also approved the recommended property and casualty insurance provider for the 2024–2026 school year and appointed Cynthia Aguilar as the district’s Tax Collector for 2025–2026. Motions to approve the insurance provider and to appoint Aguilar were carried unanimously. The minutes do not include the insurer’s name, premium amounts, or the Tax Collector’s employment contract details.
Trustees discussed personnel matters in closed session but took no action on employee contracts or resignations in open session. The board went into closed session at 7:11 p.m. and returned at 7:20 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
