Quinlan ISD amends 2025–26 budget to add tax-rate calculation appendix

The Quinlan ISD Board on Sept. 15 agreed to amend the original 2025–26 School Year Budget to include an appendix containing the Tax Rate Calculation Form used to compute the No New Revenue and Voter-Approved tax rates.
Finance presenter Rebecca Pfeil told trustees the appendix was needed to record the calculations; Rusty Case moved to amend the budget and Billie Miller seconded. “The motion carried 6-0,” the minutes record. The amendment precedes the board’s formal adoption of the total tax rate later in the same meeting.
Pfeil’s budget report for August provided the fiscal context for the amendment: revenues of $527,350.69 and expenditures of $6,442,310.96 for the month, with an ending cash-flow balance reported at $33,310,753.25. The board did not attach additional conditions to the amendment in the meeting record.
