Board approves Target Improvement Plan for Nanny Elementary after F rating

The Riviera ISD Board approved the Target Improvement Plan (TIP) for Nanny Elementary at the Feb. 18 meeting after the campus received an "F" rating for 2023–2024.
Ms. Dobson presented the plan, which establishes measurable performance targets for 2025–2026: 40% of grades 3–5 meeting grade level or above in Reading, 75% in Math, 70% growth performance, and a 42% academic achievement component score. Strategies include full implementation of the Bluebonnet curriculum (HQIM), monthly teacher observations with actionable feedback, strengthened data tracking and continued support from the Education Service Center.
Trustee Becky Gutierrez moved to accept the TIP; the motion passed 6–0 with one absent. Administration said the plan has been submitted to TEA and will guide campus-level interventions through the coming year.
