On Nov. 19, 2025, the Rice ISD School Safety and Security Committee met at the Rice administration building and received a closed-session update on current projects, ongoing security concerns and the results of an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) audit conducted by the Texas School Safety Center. The minutes state the meeting was brought to order at 17:30 with seven members in attendance and that there were no public comments.
The minutes record that the update occurred during a closed session and do not identify a specific presenter. When the regular session reconvened, the record shows there were no matters to vote on. The minutes are signed by Chief Robert Gray, Emergency Management Coordinator, Rice ISD, and list the next meeting as March 18, 2026.
