The Lumberport Town Council accepted Requisition #06 for the WATER SYSTEM IMP PROJECT (IJDC #2022W-2150) on March 3, 2025 after Shelby Johnson of the regional office delivered the paperwork to Mayor Lexi Mayfield.
Councilmember Micheal Stire moved to accept the requisition; Judy Clevenger seconded and the minutes record the motion as carried. Mayor Lexi Mayfield said a follow-up meeting on the ongoing water project will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. to discuss next steps.
The action places the project requisition into the town's administrative record; the meeting minutes do not record a roll-call vote, only that the motion carried. The council also discussed related meter work the engineering firm flagged at the meeting and noted further conversations with QWS and Thrasher Engineering will be scheduled.
