Public Works Supervisor Bill Davisson told the council that staff has been patching roads, flushing hydrants, and working on the sludge pond; one section of the pond was cleared and staff planned further work. He said crews searched for a water leak for five days but did not locate it and recommended contracting with an outside company for certain heavy tasks.
Davisson also noted concerns about using the sewage truck over rocky terrain and requested additional resources, including extra staff hours for sludge-pond work. Council approved the public-works report by voice vote (5-0) and asked staff to continue leak investigations and provide recommendations for contracting and equipment use.
