Education Foundation awards nearly $88,000 across district classrooms

Karen Anderson, executive director of the Red Oak ISD Education Foundation, presented a recap of the foundation's grants program and asked the board to accept the presentation and step forward for a photo. "We awarded 30 proposals totaling $87,899.48," Anderson said, and listed campus distributions with Red Oak High School receiving nine awards, Red Oak Middle School six, Eastridge five and other campuses receiving multiple grants.
Anderson noted that over her 20 years with the foundation they have awarded a cumulative 489 grants totaling $1,349,603.97, and she invited board members to come forward for a recognition photo. Board members and foundation leaders emphasized the program's role in supporting campus initiatives and classroom-level projects.
