The Randolph Field ISD board approved a revision to Facilities Construction Policy CV(LOCAL) as part of the consent agenda on Feb. 26 to align district policy language with recent statutory changes and TASB guidance.
Board materials explained that TASB’s Update 126 revised the statutory competitive purchasing threshold to $100,000. The update recommended replacing a hard-coded $50,000 figure in the policy with the phrase “the competitive purchasing threshold established in law,” and the draft also adjusts the superintendent’s internal threshold from $50,000 to $100,000 to match the statutory change.
The change was adopted on the consent agenda with no discussion. The revision, as described in the board packet, is intended to avoid future policy updates when the statutory threshold changes again and to align CV(LOCAL) with CH(LEGAL) and CV(LEGAL) references included in TASB’s update.
