The district’s middle-school athletics representative reviewed the code of conduct, academic warnings and the eligibility process for student-athletes. “If you have 2 D’s, you become, ineligible, and I’ll do that in just a 2nd. Or it’s 1 F,” the ADE said while describing the district’s approach to academic eligibility, which provides a warning week for students to raise grades before they are barred from game participation.

Families were encouraged to monitor grades and to use the warning week to improve academic performance; coaches will apply the policy and may still allow students to attend practices while they are ineligible for games.
