Flambeau honors student achievements; benefit raises $260,000

The Flambeau School District Board spent time recognizing student academic and extracurricular achievements during the Feb. 18 meeting.
Principal Chad Gago announced the 2026 valedictorian, Harper Dean, and salutatorian, Evelyn Ralph. Board member Zenny Mahun recognized Hannah Severson for performing the Heimlich maneuver on a fellow student. Mr. Gago reported that the district’s 19th annual Cancer Benefit raised $260,000. The minutes also note strong participation and qualifiers in forensics and other competitions and highlighted creative classroom projects including a 5-foot Lego Eiffel Tower and large papier-mâché projects.
The recognitions were presented as part of the administrative reports and do not carry formal board action but were entered into the record as accomplishments for the school community.
