District Administrator Mark Stamper reported on state-level education topics he discussed at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards convention, including a proposed state bill aimed at preventing inappropriate interactions between staff and students and a separate proposal to ban student cell-phone use "from bell to bell." Stamper said he plans to begin implementing a district-level cell-phone policy in the fourth quarter and incorporate it into district policy for the upcoming school year. Playground bids were also due that day and the administration will schedule a committee meeting to finalize playground plans.
