The Flambeau School District Board approved several personnel actions at its Feb. 18 meeting, including coach hires, a long-term substitute and payment adjustments.
By roll-call vote the board approved hiring Kelly Hruby as the 2025–2026 High School Boys’ Golf Coach and Rachel Nagel as the Middle School Track Head Coach; both motions were recorded as carried with unanimous yes votes. The board also approved hiring long-term substitute Jeffery Kopacz and approved overload payments for Elizabeth Schmidt and Kelly Hruby (one overload vote carried with an abstention noted for a different payment). The board accepted the retirement of high school science teacher Rycki Moravec and accepted the resignation and conclusion of an exchange program for elementary special education teacher Sreya Choudhuri and the resignation of math and technology teacher Dr. Avijit Das.
The minutes record formal roll-call and majority outcomes for these personnel actions but do not list salary or contract-length details for individual hires. The board and administrators expressed gratitude for departing staff where noted in the minutes.
